Healthy Food a Better “Happy Meal”

A recent study showed McDonald’s marketing tricks. Two of the exact same burger in different packaging was given to kids and almost everyone preferred the McDonald’s packaged ones. So how the nutrition-conscious parents can compete with the $1.7 billion McDonald’s marketing budget?

The first time this could be seem to a little bit odd, but the parents need to think like an advertiser and do ‘advertising campaigns’ of healthy foods to their kids like McDonald’s does with his burgers. Try to incorporate more and more fruits and vegetables in the child’s meal. Another important step is to get the TV out of the kitchen. Viewing during meals is wrong, because kids get brainwashed by food advertising at ‘ground zero’, the kitchen and also distracts the kids from paying attention to their food.

Lastly make healthy food meals a happier meal than McDonald’s. The secret is make these meals more fun like all the fast-food restaurants did. There should be healthy food and a positive feeling around eating at the dinner table. Don’t attack children at dinnertime for doing poorly at school or misbehaving.
